Housed in custom slipcase with gilt stamped "Savage Pencil" monogram. Deluxe edition of the first printing SIGNED by the artist on a special bookplate affixed to the front pastedown. This copy INSCRIBED, SIGNED and with A SMALL CARTOON FIGURE by the artist / author on the copyright page. The inscription is to "Clive" - that is Clive Harper, bibliophile, bibliographer of Austin Osman Spare, and known for updating the Aleister Crowley bibliography in the 2011 Teitan Press collection of Gerald Yorke's writings, and as someone who has lent his expertise to numerous other publications. Savage Pencil is the nom de plume of London comics artist and music journalist Edwin Pouncey (b. 1951), a leading light in the field of British underground comics who is well-known in the English occult fraternity and an aficonado of the work of Austin Osman Spare. The comics in this volume were originally published in a music magazine in the late 1970s and 1980s and reflect many of the punk preoccupations of the time. Book and slipcase show just a hint of shelfwear else a tight, bright Fine copy. Item #68807
