The first publication of a number of important Golden Dawn 'Flying Rolls' which deal with subjects such as astral travel, exorcism, and ritual magic. This copy SIGNED by editor, Francis King on the title page. Francis X. King (1934–1994) was a British popular historian of the occult, who had a special interest in Aleister Crowley and the Golden Dawn. His books played an important part in the renewal of interest in Western Magical traditions in late twentieth century Britain and beyond. His other books included "Ritual Magic in England," "Sexuality, Magic and Perversion," and "The Magical World of Aleister Crowley," and he was editor of "The Secret Rituals of the O.T.O.," "Crowley on Christ," and others. A few light bumps to extremities, page edges darkened and foxed, owner's details in pen on front blank, pages lightly toned but unmarked. A tight, clean better than VG copy in VG dust jacket (Dust jacket a bit rubbed overall, light chafing to all edges and extremities, rear panel a bit darkened, price clipped, prices on rear inner flap and back panel blacked out. Now in mylar cover). King was somewhat reclusive, and signed works by him relatively uncommon. Item #68874
