Chicago, IL: The Aries Press, 1936. First edition. Hardcover. Octavo. 146pp. Original red cloth with gilt title etc. to spine. Regardie's study of the Golden Dawn, and his personal recollections of one of it's later incarnations, the Stella Matutina. Not surprisingly it includes references to a number of luminaries including Dion Fortune (who was largely responsible for Regardie's acceptance into the Stella Matutina), and former enfant terrible of the Golden Dawn, and Regardie's erstwhile mentor, Aleister Crowley. Cloth rubbed, darkened and discoloured overall. Bumps to corners and spine ends, upper half of front blank endpaper excised, front endpapers split at inner hinge but hinge sound, paper lightly toned and there are pen notes to less than a dozen pages - otherwise unmarked. Overall a serviceable and complete Good + copy (no dust jacket). As is. Item #68878
