Small thick octavo. ccvi & 732pp. Publisher's series cloth with black title and author to spine, borders and titling to upper board, 22 plates and 420 vignettes, lovely color fold-out frontis, index. An attractive and compact hardcover edition of Budge's famous translation of the Theban recension of The Book of the Dead. Just a bit of light shelfwear, page edges a bit darkened, bookplate on front black, pages lightly toned. About a dozen leaves towards the end of the book have a little creasing to the fore-ege, otherwise a lovely copy, tight (unusual, as it is often shaken because of its size), clean and unmarked VG+ copy (no dust jacket).
