Item #69464 Crystal Magick. Carlyle A. PUSHONG.

Crystal Magick.

London: Regency Press, 1968. First Edition. Hardcover. Octavo.104pp. Original black boards lettered in white on spine, b&w illustrations, two b&w frontisportraits, tables. A work exploring the development of psychical (magical) powers, with the use of crystals, yogic practices, etc. etc. and quoting from a wide variety of authors and sources, from the Pharaoh Akhenaton to Aleister Crowley and P. D. Ouspensky. The author, Carlyle A. Pushong appears to have deliberately avoided the limelight, and little is known of him other than that he wrote some five occult-related books between 1968 and 1980, the most significant of which were "The Tarot of the Magi" (1967) "Crystal Magick" (1968) and "Rune Magic" (1978). Curiously "Crystal Magick" is probably most famous because of a photograph that Ken Regan took of Bob Dylan intently reading a copy at the NY Rehearsals in 1975. Boards lightly rubbed with a small faint mark to upper board, top edge darkened and foxed, single finger mark to front blank, pages very lightly toned but bright and unmarked. Overall - a solid unmarked better than VG copy. Lacks dust jacket. Item #69464
