Hazrat Inayat Khan (1882 –1927) founder of The Sufi Order in the West in 1914 (London) and a teacher of Universal Sufism who wrote extensively on the subject of Sufism for Western readers. It was first published in 1915, and this is without doubt an early printing, probably from no later than 1926, but we cannot say with certainty. Spine slightly canted, a little light shelfwear, gilt titling somewhat dulled. Top edge, endpapers and first & last leaves darkened and foxed. Small ink line on bottom of fore-edge. Some scattered random pencil notes and underlining. Overall a tight VG copy. No dust jacket. Item #69604
