The author, William Walker Atkinson (1862 – 1932), was an attorney, occultist, prolific writer and a pioneer of the New Thought movement who had a penchant for writing anonymously or pseudonymously - most famously as Yogi Ramacharaka. This work, one of Atkinson's best known, is, as the title indicates, devoted to a study of "the Will." It is believed to be a first US edition, with the year 1909 on both the title and copyright pages. A hint of bruising and rubbing to the points of the boards, some light discoloration to the cloth, small gilt foil bookseller's label on front pastedown. Overall a tight, clean, VG+ copy - it is unlikely that there is one to be found in better condition. (no dust jacket issued). Item #69606
