The second Ghost Story Press edition of this highly regarded collection tales of horror and the macabre, that was first published as a title in publisher Philip Allan's "Creeps" series in 1934. In addition to the ten original stories of the 1934 edition ("The Quest for Lewis"; "Lost Keep"; "Hybrid"; "The Tower of Moab"; "The Child'; "The Dirk"; "The Chords of Chaos"; "The Meershaum Pipe"; "Haunted Air"; "The Iron Swine"; and "Animate in Death"); this GSP edition also includes an additional story - "The Author's Tale"- which was first published in a separate anthology in 1935.
