The Eye in the Triangle. An Interpretation of Aleister Crowley.

St. Paul, MN: Llewellyn Publications, 1970. First Edition. Hardcover. Large octavo. x + 518pp. Original black cloth with gilt title, etc. to spine, color frontisportrait of Crowley, b&w illustrations. The stated first printing of the first edition of this important biographical study of Crowley by his one-time secretary and student Israel Regardie. From the collection of Clive Harper with his discreet book-label neatly tipped in at the rear. Harper is well- known as the bibliographer of Austin Osman Spare, for updating the Aleister Crowley bibliography in the 2011 Teitan Press collection of Gerald Yorke's writings, and as someone who has lent his expertise to numerous other publications. A light horizontal crease to the cloth of the front board (almost certainly there from new) and a hint of toning to pages - otherwise a tight, bright, clean VG+ copy in VG dust jacket (Dust jacket shows light shelf-rubbing, spine a little faded, some dark marks - probably caused by offset from dark coloured books sitting on either side of the shelf from it - a few tiny chips and tears to the edges, not price clipped. Now protected by removable mylar sleeve). Item #69753
