Item #69800 Atlantis. Liber LI. The Lost Continent. Aleister CROWLEY, Kenneth Anger.

Atlantis. Liber LI. The Lost Continent.

Ontario, Canada: Dove Press, 1970. First edition. Hardcover. Octavo. x + 70pp. Original deep pink cloth with gilt title, etc. to spine. Errata slip loosely inserted. The book is referred to by Kenneth Anger who authored the very brief Foreword as a "sexual-magical treasure.". Crowley's Atlantis is said to be "An account of the continent of Atlantis: the manners and customs, magical rites and opinions of its people, together with a true account of the catastrophe, so called, which ended in its disappearance" although in other writings Crowley allowed that there was more than a hint of satire in some parts of the work, whilst others were thinly-veiled metaphor. Barely a hint of shelfwear, bookplate on front pastedown, still a near Fine copy in near Fine mylar protected dust jacket (Dust jacket not clipped and shows no sign of rear wear). Item #69800
