A serious biography of the notorious medieval French soldier and noble, Gilles de Rais (1405 – 1440) who is said to have dabbled in the occult and undertaken the kidnapping and murder of a large number of children. A little light shelfwear and some darkening to the cloth, the edges of the text-block are a little dusty, endpapers unevenly toned, otherwise a tight, clean VG+ copy (lacks dust jacket). Item #69906
