Item #69928 The Canon: An Exposition of the Pagan Mystery Perpetuated in the Cabala as the Rule of All the Arts. Kabbalah, William STIRLING, R. B. Cunninghame Graham, John Michell.

The Canon: An Exposition of the Pagan Mystery Perpetuated in the Cabala as the Rule of All the Arts.

London: Research into Lost Knowledge Organisation, 1981. First Edition Thus. Softcover. Octavo. xxii + 410pp. Pictorial card covers. An unusual edition of this often-cited work. Aleister Crowley recommended it to his students as a book worthy of 'serious study,' describing it as 'The best text-book of applied Qabalah,' and it is also regarded as one of the foundation works in the modern esoteric study of 'Sacred Geometry.' The Introduction by John Frederick Carden Michell (1933 – 2009) - the prolific English author, occultist and esotericist important figure in the Earth mysteries movement - includes a brief reference to "Alastair" (sic) Crowley. Some rubbing, particularly at folds and edges, light wear and creases to covers, page edges a bit darkened, foxed. Overall a clean VG copy of an uncommon edition. Item #69928
