New Jersey: Heptangle Books, 1987. First Edition Thus. Hardcover. Octavo. xiv + 54 pp. Original gray marbled papered boards, with bronze title to spine. A nice letterpress production - printed in red black and blue throughout - of a translation originally published in 1877. One of the scarcer Heptangle titles. Some booksellers cite the first Heptangle edition as being from 1986, but we believe that this is the first Heptangle edition (1987) and the 1986 comes from a mis-reading of the ornate Roman numerals on the title page. This would have been a Fine copy, but it has obviously been kept in a slightly damp house, so it has a somewhat musty smell which would probably leave if aired out in a dry place. A little uneven toning to the pages, some pale flecking to the edge of the text block. Thus a tight, clean near VG+ copy in VG+ dust jacket. (Dust jacket has a little pale foxing, not clipped, now in removable mylar sleeve). Item #69956
