Quarto. 56 + 118 + 52 + 60 + 72 + 54 + 92pp. Red card covers with black titling etc. The first seven of the ten volumes of "Collectanea Hermetica" was a series of hermetic tracts that was first published in ten separate volumes between 1893-1896. The main editor was W. Wynn Wescott, one of the founders of the Golden Dawn, and each of the volumes was either edited, or in some cases written, by Westcott and other members of that Order. The present edition was published by Kessinger Publishing Company and is basically an enlarged format facsimile of the text of the first editions of the first seven volumes. Contents are: Vol. I: Hermetic Arcanum of Penes Nos Unda Tagi, with a preface and notes by Sapere Aude (William Wynn Westcott), Vol. II: The Pymander of Hermes, with a preface by the editor. Vol. III: A Short Enquiry Concerning the Hermetic Art by A Lover of Philalethes, Preface by Non Omnis Moriar (William Wynn Westcott), An Introduction to Alchemy and Notes by S.S.D.D. (Florence Farr), Vol. IV: Æsch Mezareph or Purifying Fire, A Chymico-Kabalistic Treatise Collected from the Kabala Denudata or Knorr Von Rosenroth. Translated by a Lover of Philalethes, 1714, Preface, notes and explanations by Sapere Aude (William Wynn Westcott). Wynn Westcott, and Vol. X: Sepher Yetzirah. Spine ends lightly bruised, else appears "as new" thus a lovely bright Fine copy in near Fine dust jacket (Dust jacket very lightly rubbed, not clipped. Dust jacket now covered in protective mylar sleeve.) Wrappers a little creased and darkened, small tear in fore-edge of rear wrapper, edges dusty and a few tea (?) spots to fore-edge of text block. Still overall a tight, clean VG+ copy of an uncommon edition.
