The Book of Lies. Which is Also Falsely Called Breaks, The Wanderings or Falsifications of the one thought of Frater Perdurabo (Aleister Crowley) which thought is itself untrue.
York Beach, Maine: Samuel Weiser, Inc., 1993. Reprint. Softcover. Octavo. 196pp. Glossy wrappers. B&w frontis and illustrations. A softcover reprint of "The Book of Lies", one of Crowley's most important, and cryptic works. He wrote of it: "this book deals with many matters on all planes of the very highest importance. It is an official publication for Babes of the Abyss, but is recommended even to beginners as highly suggestive." The new edition on which this reprint is based was first published by Karl Germer with the help of Gerald Yorke (they supplied a joint Foreword) in 1962, and it was the first edition of Crowley's "Book of Lies" to be published with Crowley's commentaries. Covers lightly rubbed, edges chafed and laminate to fore-edge of the rear cover lifting a bit, faintly musty. Still a tight, unmarked VG copy. Item #70187
