The first edition, limited to 156 copies, of what is perhaps the most sought-after and controversial issue of this valuable journal of Thelemic scholarship. This issue "is composed of a set of lessons distributed privately in one of Grady Louis McMurtry's A.'. A.'. lineages, which are titled The Magickal Essence." Whilst there has been a new release of "The Magickal Essence" which incorporates a substantial amount of fresh material, the new version also omits some of the more contentious parts of this edition, notably the chapter on Francis King's "Secret Rituals of the O.T.O." Just a hint of shelf wear, spine a bit rubbed overall with light chafing to the head, tail and edges, faintly musty. Otherwise a tight clean VG+ copy. Scarce edition. Item #70203
