Crossed Keys. Being a Chimeric Binding of Both The Black Dragon and the Enchiridion of Pope Leo III.

UK: Scarlet Imprint, 2011. First Edition. Hardcover. Small Octavo. 240pp. Bound in black and gold cloth, with gilt crossed key design to upper board and spine, gilt lettering to upper board, ribbon marker and heraldic endpapers. The clothbound edition limited to 685 hand-numbered copies, this copy SIGNED by the publishers Peter Grey and Alkistis Dimech on the limitation / copyright page. The first joint publication of these two complimentary grimoires, newly translated, and with extensive commentary and analysis by Cecchetelli, much of which is drawn from his own practice using the texts. The designs of of the original seals are included, as are corrected and restored versions which have been reworked in sympathy with the system utilized by Jake Stratton-Kent in "The True Grimoire." The text "The Black Dragon" includes much traditional magic and cunning lore, whereas "The Enchiridion" is an earlier work of what purports to be Christian magic. There is apparently a little-known relationship between the texts, which Cecchetelli explores. Appears "as new", but for a tiny horizontal scrape on the fore-edge of the text block (99% of people wouldn't notice it but for the 1% ...). Thus in near Fine condition. (No dust jacket as issued, but this copy includes a custom cut protective mylar cover). Out of print and now scarce. Item #70424
