A poster advertising an exhibition of paintings: "Exhibition Jealousy Paintings"
Plymouth: NP, ND (1977). An original 30 x 19 3/4 inch black-on-white printed poster advertising an exhibition of Robert Lenkiewicz's paintings. The text reads "Exhibition Jealousy Paintings: R. O. Lenkiewicz Section Eight of the Relationship Theme, The Fool, 7, Clifton Street, Plymouth. 10 August - 30 Sepetember, 11am. - 5.30pm. (1977) Admission 10p." The paintings were from section / theme eight of his "Relationship Series" - "Jealousy." The caption in the reproduction of an artwork that heads the poster reads: "Lovers eating each other's hearts on a cloudy day just before the end of the world." The exhibition was held at "The Fool" gallery in Plymouth in August-September 1977. Robert Oscar Lenkiewicz (1941 - 2002) was a renowned British artist, Hermeticist, and student of the alchemical arts, who was also well-known as an eccentric and book-collector. A few light marks, a few large creases to the upper left corner, small lighter creases to other corners. No tears or tape marks. Overall VG or better condition.
