The hardcover "standard" first edition limited to 903 copies (there was also a 97 copy "edition deluxe"). This copy SIGNED by Kenneth and Steffi Grant on the half-title page - this being one of about 50 copies of the trade edition that were signed by them at the book launch. A loosely inserted "Fine Madness Society" leaflet explains: "Approximately 50 signed copies were available at the launch party held at The Angel in the Fields, 37 Thayer Street, London on Saturday 11th March 2006 ev. Each copy was signed by Kenneth and Steffi Grant in black ink on the half-title. These copies represent the true first state." A collection of essays on Eastern Mysticism by Kenneth Grant, of the the Nu Isis Lodge of the Typhonian O.T.O. Written from the early 1950s onwards, the essays centre revolve around a number of teachers, including Ramana Maharshi, Pagal Haranath, Ramakrishna, Anandamayi Ma, Sivananda, and others. They were originally published in a various Asian journals, as well as the series Man, Myth and Magic. Several of the essays explore the concept of Advaita, which Grant feels permeated Crowley's work, and which apparently underpinned his own Typhonian Trilogies.
