The Eucharist. Le Chevalier Clement de Saint Marcq.

Berkeley, CA: Pangenetor Lodge Publications / The O.T.O., 1995. First Edition Thus. Softcover. Octavo. 16pp. 8.5 inch x 5.5 inch stapled booklet. Purple printed card wrappers with author and title printed within a Greek-revival style decorative border on front wrapper. This is the first of a series of booklets of comprisings translations of works deemed to be of value to those interested in Thelema. From the Preface" "The following article was originally serialized in "Revue du Magnetisme, Etude du Psychisme Experimental" in the 1940's. The original pamphlet cited in Jean Mallinger's introduction was published in Antwerp in 1907 and was included in a reading list published by Theodor Reuss titled "The Quarry of the Building Stones of the O.T.O. Temple" in his treatise "Parsifal and the Unveiling of the Secret of the Graal" (Schmiedenberg, 1914 e.v). It seems that Le Chevalier Clement de Saint Marcq argued that the Eucharist given by Christ during the Last Supper, was not bread and wine but semen, and that the ritual consumption of sperm had remained a vital, albeit hidden, practice of some religious ritual. This booklet was published by Pangenetor Lodge of the O.T.O. whose Lodge Master was Marlene Cornelius, then-wife of J. Edward (Jerry) Cornelius, both of whom were closely involved in their production. The couple later went on to publish the well-known "Red Flame" series. From the collection of Clive Harper with his discreet book-label neatly tipped in at the rear. Harper is well- known as the bibliographer of Austin Osman Spare, for updating the Aleister Crowley bibliography in the 2011 Teitan Press collection of Gerald Yorke's writings, and as someone who has lent his expertise to numerous other publications. A tight clean near fine copy. Item #70866
