A first class biography of "Inky Stephensen" the Australian author and publisher who befriended Aleister Crowley and published a number of his works under the Mandrake Press imprint in the late 1920s, as well as compiling "The Legend of Aleister Crowley." Extensive information, drawn from original research, on Crowley during the "Mandrake" period. This copy most recently from the collection of Clive Harper with his discreet book label tipped in at the rear. Harper is well-known as the bibliographer of Austin Osman Spare, for updating the Aleister Crowley bibliography in the 2011 Teitan Press collection of Gerald Yorke's writings, and as someone who has lent his expertise to numerous other publications. Slighty leaned, hint of light shelf wear, corners and spine ends lightly bruised, still a tight & clean VG+ copy in VG+ dust jacket.
