Duty. (A Note on the Chief Rules of Practical Conduct to be Observed by Those who Accept The Law of Thelema).

Berkeley CA: Pangenetor Lodge Publications / The O.T.O., 1994. First Edition Thus. Softcover. 8.5 inch x 5.5 inch. 16pp. Stapled booklet. Orange paper wrappers, with author and title printed within a Egyptian style decorated border on the front wrapper. The first separate publication of an essay by Crowley, originally written under the title "General Practical Applications of the Law of Thelema." The text is drawn from an annotated typescript in the George Arents Research Library, Syracuse University, New York, and is the only one of the early publications of the work to incorporate the full text including Crowley's manuscript annotations. One of a series of pamphlets published by Pangenetor Lodge of the O.T.O. whose Lodge Master was Marlene Cornelius, then-wife of J. Edward (Jerry) Cornelius, both of whom were closely involved in their production. The couple later went on to publish the well-known "Red Flame" series along with many other Crowley related works. From the library of Clive Harper with his discreet book-label neatly tipped in at the rear. Harper is well-known as the bibliographer of Austin Osman Spare, for updating the Aleister Crowley bibliography in the 2011 Teitan Press collection of Gerald Yorke's writings, and as someone who has lent his expertise to numerous other publications. A near fine copy. Item #70887
