The First US edition of Symond's biography of Crowley, the book which introduced the children of the 1950s and 1960s to the Great Beast. Early printings like this include, as an appendix, Gerald Yorke's ground-breaking Bibliography of Crowley. Spine ends and corners lightly bruised and chafed, boards very lightly warped, pages lightly browned, no marks. First couple of leaves slightly wavy - this is an artefact of the way the binders tipped in the frontispiece. Overall a tight, clean VG+ copy in near G+ dust jacket. (Dust jacket chafed and creased at edges, thumb-print sized chip to upper spine with loss, lesser chipping to top edge and corners, some tape reinforcement on the reverse, price clipped, now in protective mylar cover).
