Chicago: Collegium ad Spiritum Sanctum, 1925. First Edition. Hardcover. Small quarto. xvi + 112pp (+ blanks) Original off-white cloth spine with decorated papered boards. Paper title labels to spine and front cover. Color frontispiece, black and white designs etc. in-text, rubricated capitals throughout. Original blue endpapers. Loose tissue guard between frontispiece and title-page. First Edition limited to 250 copies numbered copies, signed by the author, of which this is number 23. The third major Kabbalistic work by Frater Achad (Charles Stansfeld Jones - 1886-1950), one time student of Aleister Crowley. The design is by the renowned book craftsman, Will Ransom. From the collection of Clive Harper with his discreet book-label neatly tipped in at the rear. Harper is well- known as the bibliographer of Austin Osman Spare, for updating the Aleister Crowley bibliography in the 2011 Teitan Press collection of Gerald Yorke's writings, and as someone who has lent his expertise to numerous other publications. Spine a little darkened, corners of boards lightly rounded and soft paper covering of the boards rubbed through to the board at the extremes of the points, and in a few spots along the edges (as almost always with this volume). Small light ink offset from Achad's signature to facing blank. Still a lovely VG+ copy and very unusual thus (no dustjacket, none issued). One of the scarcer Achad titles. Item #70916
