Item #70937 Moonchild. Aleister CROWLEY.

New York: Avon Books, ND [ 1971 ]. Second Printing of 1971 Avon Edition. Softcover. Pocket-sized paperback. 320pp. Illustrated covers, pages. The second printing of this Avon Books edition. Crowley's famous second novel which tells the tale of a young woman caught up in a battle between two magicians, one of whom seeks to use her body as the vessel for the 'birth' in human form of a non-human entity: "the Moonchild" of the title. The character of "Cyril Grey" is a somewhat idealised self-portrait of Crowley, as is perhaps also that of "Simon Iff." Covers a bit rubbed and faded, all edges and points a little chafed, pages browned (as common), a few faint owner pencil notes on inside rear cover (only). Overall, a solid, clean VG copy.
