Item #70947 Konx Om Pax. Essays in Light. Aleister CROWLEY.

Konx Om Pax. Essays in Light.

NP: NP, ND. Facsimile edition. Softcover. Small octavo. 110pp.+ 12pp adverts. Beige paper wrappers with classic 1960s-style blue psychedelic titlling to front cover. The text is a facsimile reprint of that of the 1907 edition. Although no date or publisher is specified, some sources suggest that this edition was produced by the Level Press in 1974 whereas others date it to 1980. "Konx Om Pax" is a collection of poetry, plays and essays and was clearly one of Crowley's own favorite works. He wrote glowingly of it in his 'Confessions', in particular describing the final essay 'The Stone of the Philosophers' as being "really beyond praise." Covers rubbed & a bit discoloured, lower corner lightly bumped & chafed, residue of glue from a price sticker on upper corner of front cover and a few other minor marks to the outside of the covers, Two previous owner's names to inside front cover, Small finger-tip size black blob to first and second blank pages which has soaked through to the reverse of each (done with black felt-tip, probably to obscure an old price or initials). Otherwise a tight unmarked VG copy of an unusual edition. Item #70947
