B&w frontispiece and four plates. The author, Major General J. F. C. Fuller (1878 - 1966), was a devoted follower of Crowley's from 1906 until 1911, when the two fell out. Fuller, who was the author of a study of Crowley's poetry "The Star in the West," retained an interest in esoteric matters, writing several other books, including this study of Yoga, which was first published in 1925. It comprises twelve chapters - The Agnostic Position - The Vedanta - Attainment by Yoga - The Yogas - The Conditions of Yoga - Hatha Yoga - The Constitution of the Mystical Body - The Mudras - Raja Yoga - The Doctrines of Buddhism - The Noble Eightfold Path - An Analysis and a Summary. A little fading to the spine, the cloth of which is a little rubbed at the head and tail, and at the points of the boards. A touch of shelfwear, edges of text-block lightly toned, otherwise a tight unmarked near fine copy (no dust jacket issued with this edition). Item #70983
