Konx Om Pax. Essays in Light.
Chicago, IL: The Teitan Press, 1990. First Edition Thus. Hardcover. Square Octavo. xxii + 108 pp + 12 pp (adverts). Original black cloth with white titling to spine and front cover, frontispiece. Originally published on 1907, this is essentially a facsimile edition of Crowley's "Konx om Pax", including an important new introduction by Crowley scholar Martin P. Starr. This copy SIGNED by Martin P. Starr on the title page and at the end of his Introduction The book is a collection of poetry, plays and essays and was clearly one of Crowley's own favorite works. He wrote glowingly of it in his "Confessions", in particular describing the final essay 'The Stone of the Philosophers' as being "really beyond praise." Very slight bruising to spine ends, light rubbing to boards - as almost always with this book having been issued without a dust jacket. There are about half-a-dozen tiny white flecks on the back cover. Internally as new and otherwise a tight, clean near-Fine copy. Long out of print in this, arguably the best, modern edition (no dust jacket issued). Item #70985
