Atlantis. Liber LI. The Lost Continent.
Ontario, Canada: Dove Press, 1970. First Edition. Hardcover. Octavo. x + 70pp. Original dark pink cloth with gilt title, etc. to spine. Errata slip loosely inserted. Referred to by Kenneth Anger, who authored the very brief Foreword, as a "sexual-magical treasure." Crowley's Atlantis is said to be "An account of the continent of Atlantis: the manners and customs, magical rites and opinions of its people, together with a true account of the catastrophe, so called, which ended in its disappearance" although in other writings Crowley allowed that there was more than a hint of satire in some parts of the work, whilst others were thinly-veiled metaphor. Just a hint of shelfwear: spine ends very lightly bruised and chafed - still a bright, tight & unmarked near Fine copy in VG+ dust jacket. (White dust jacket is slightly darkened with a few light marks, all edges are lightly rubbed and creased, not clipped. Now protected in by a removable mylar cover). Item #70995
