Gurdjieff. Bennett met Gurdjieff in Constantinople in 1921, and helped to co-ordinate the work of Gurdjieff in England after Gurdjieff's arrival in Paris. He also was active in starting the Subud movement, and co-founded its British headquarters. Bennett regarded the spiritual exercise of Subud, as being akin to what the mystics call diffuse contemplation. Page edges lightly browned, wrappers rubbed & slightly marked, otherwise solid & internally-clean VG copies. The scarce first printings of a series of talks given to members by Bennett. Item #25086
