Dr. Arthur Neve travelled to Kashmir in 1882 under the auspices of the Church Missionary Society to take charge of Kashmir Mission Hospital at Srinagar from Dr. Edmund Downes, who was retiring. This volume is an account of his 30 years there including an account of the area and it's people and the past-time of mountain climbing to which he devoted his spare time. Cloth darkened at spine and board edges, both boards lightly flecked at edges. Endpapers lightly toned, pencilling on title page, a few pages lightly foxed but text is generally bright and crisp, unmarked, one plate loose but present. Overall a solid and unmarked VG copy.
