Oceanside, CA: Thelema Publications, 1974. Second Thelema Publications Edition. Hardcover. Small octavo (6 3/16 x 4 3/8 inches). 50pp (+ iipp - blank). Red cloth with an A.:A.: sigil and "THE BOOK / OF THE LAW" lettered in gilt across the front board. Printed on heavy white paper stock. With the ownership signature of Golden Dawn luminary Pat Zalewski and the numeric symbols for an Adeptus Exemptus and the letters "(T.S.)" next to them across the bottom of the half title page. The second edition of "The Book of the Law" to be published by Helen Parsons Smith under her "Thelema Publications" imprint. The title on the title page is exactly as per the 1942 US Edition: "THE BOOK OF THE LAW / [technically called / LIBER / AL vel / LEGIS / SUB FIGURA / CCXX / AS DELIVERED BY / XCIII=418 / to / DCLXVI]" but the original imprint below it has been replaced with: "An LXX Sol in Aries, April 9, 1974 e.v. / Privately printed by the O.T.O. / P.O. Box 2043, Dublin, Calif. 94566." As with the 1942 US Edition, the page facing the title page bears the O.T.O. dove and chalice lamen. A sticker on the verso of the title page gives the Library of Congress Catalog number, the ISBN, and "Thelema Publications / P.O. Box 1093 / Kings Beach, California 95719." The contents reproduce the Introduction, text, "Tunis Comment" and two page statement on the O.T.O. exactly as per the corrected 1942 US edition, with the exception that the details on the title page have been changed, and the blank page that appeared between the first and second parts of Liber AL has been shifted to between the end of the third part and the "Tunis Comment." Cloth a little darkened and discoloured, corners and spine ends lightly bumped, pages a bit browned with two small stains on the front endpaper and pastedown, respectively. A second previous owner's inscription on front blank. Overall a solid, unmarked about VG copy with an nice association. Item #45229
