A slender volume offering "a truer understanding of the symbols of Masonry, and of the ceremonies" in which the Mason takes part. The author, Harold Waldwin Percival (1868 - 1953) was a philosopher and writer, most closely aligned with Theosophical beliefs and best known for his massive "Thinking and Destiny", and as the publisher of the Theosophical periodical "The Word" from 1904 - 1917. Spine slightly canted and light bumps to spine ends, owner's pencilled name etc on front endpaper, old NYC Weiser bookshop label on front pastedown. Overall a clean VG+ copy in VG dust jacket (dust jacket lightly chafed and chipped at edges, several short edge-tears, spine faded, not clipped. Now in mylar cover). Item #49870
