A Postcard with a Reproduction of a Portrait of Crowley by Augustus John.

A 5 1/4" x 3 1/4" postcard with a black and white reproduction of the 1945 portrait of Crowley by Augustus John, a friendly acquaintance of Crowley's for over thirty years. He drew a number of portraits of the Beast, including one that was published in the "The Equinox, Vol. I, No. VII" (1911) and this image, which was reproduced in Crowley's final book, "Olla" (1946). Crowley evidently had a small number of these cards produced, which he gave out to friends and well-wishers during the final year of his life. Verso blank. A little darkening, mostly to lower margin, otherwise VG + condition. Item #51307
