Brown paper-covered boards with paper title-labels to spine and front board. Musings on America (NOT Atlantis, to which he merely likens it) by Colonel, later Major General, J. F. C. Fuller (1878 - 1966). Fuller was a devoted follower of Aleister Crowley's from 1906 until 1911, when the two fell out. During the period of their acquaintance Fuller wrote a lengthy study of Crowley's poetry "The Star in the West" (1907) which Crowley revised and published, as well as contributing to his "Equinox" series. Despite their parting Fuller retained an interest in esoteric matters, and wrote a number of other books and essays on related topics over the years, as well as the military studies for which he is well known. Boards rubbed at edges, corners bruised, spine label darkened, small owner's name on first blank, a little browning, still a clean VG + copy (lacks dust jacket). Item #53251
