Small Octavo (5.25 x 3.25 inches). 93 [+ iii]pp. Full red faux leather binding, with "THE / BOOK / OF THE / LAW /LIBER / AL VEL / LEGIS / SUB FIGURA CCXX" within decorative Egyptian style borders gilt-stamped on front board. "Crowley The Book of the Law" (all in caps) lettered in gilt down the spine. Publisher's details and ISBN in gilt on rear board. Silk page marker, all edges gilt. The original 1990 "shirt pocket" edition of "The Book of the Law" issued by Magickal Childe Publishing in association with the Ordo Templi Orientis. It has the O.T.O. lamen, the Baphomet seal, and the imprimatur of Hymenaeus Beta printed facing the title page. The text comprises a new Foreword, signed "A.V." [Ad Veritatem: the magical name of James Wasserman] the Preface from the 1926 Tunis Edition, the Introduction and text of Liber CCXX from the 1938 British edition (but incorporating the corrections supplied by the O.T.O. for the 1976 Weiser printing) and a four page overview of the O.T.O. which appears to be a heavily revised and updated version of the two page essay originally published in the 1942 US edition. Abrasion and partially removed inked name to front pastedown, otherwise a tight, bright near Fine copy (no dust jacket issued). Item #54863
