Leather spine with raised bands, very elaborate tooling in gilt to spine and symbols in blind with gilt rules to both boards. Marbled end-papers. Illustrated. Softcover ("Sefer Damah"): octavo, 48pp., black card wrappers, with gilt device to the front. Both volumes housed in the original black-paper covered tray box with velvet liner. THE AUTHOR'S OWN COPY OF THE DEVOTEE EDITION. NUMBER 8 OF ONLY 11 COPIES ISSUED THUS. In addition the copy of "The Serpent Siddur" has been SIGNED, SIGILIZED, CONSECRATED and DEDICATED by the author on the blank adjoining the title-page, the ONLY copy of the Devotee Edition to be decorated thus. The accompanying softcover "Sefer Damah" is SIGNED by Wightman and is numbered to match the "The Serpent Siddur" (it is also copy 8). A total of only 61 copies of "Sefer Damah" were produced, 11 to accompany the Devotee editions, and 50 to accompany the regular deluxe edition. The book is described by the publisher as: "A devotional work dedicated to the anti-cosmic Current 61; the Current of Ain as Impossibility and of the embodiment of the desire for Impossibility: the Nachash El Acher, Samaelilith. It represents the Wisdom of the Serpentborn, the Children of Enoch, led by our Master Qayin. As NEW. A few of the shingles of the snake-skin are starting to lift - which probably explains why it is not commonly used for book binding - and a half-dozen pinhead sized white spots on the box.
