Original olive cloth, with gilt titling and device to front board, and gilt titling to spine. Although not designated as such, this "Cartonnage" volume was the penultimate (eleventh) volume in the "Facsimile Edition of the Nag Hammadi Codices" series, published "under the auspices of the Department of Antiquities of the Arab Republic of Egypt in conjunction with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization." This volume reproduces in photo-facsimile the fragments of papyri that were used to produce the cartonnage that lined and thickened the covers of eight of the twelve extent codices found at Nag Hammadi, along with a descriptive Preface (parallel Arabic / English text). Merest hint of shelf wear, - otherwise appears unread, and thus in near Fine condition (no dust jacket issued). Item #58186
