The Divine Law - The Path to Mastership; A Full Explanation of the Laws Governing the Inner Development Necessary to Attain to Philosophic Initiation or Mastership Together With a Detailed Account of the Priests of Æth or Priesthood of Melchizedek

Quakertown, PA: Philosophical Publishing Company, ND [Copyright 1949]. Leather edition. Hardcover. Large octavo. 230pp + 26pp + (i). Original blue leather with gilt title etc. to spine, gilt cross and caduceus design to upper board, top and fore-edges gilt. R. Swinburne Clymer (1878 - 1966) enrolled as a Neophyte in the Temple of The Rosy Cross and Imperial Eulis in 1897, and rose through the ranks, succeeding Edward H. Brown as Supreme Grand Master of Fraternitas Rosae Crucis in 1922. He is well known as a prolific author and publisher of Rosicrucian works. Clymer offers practical instruction in the way in which Divine Law governs our existence, our relationship with others and our spiritual development. Many titles published by the Philosophical Publishing Co. and Beverly Hall Corporation list only Copyright dates, without indicating the actual date of publication or edition of the particular volume. Given the binding style etc. of this volume we believe it to be the first deluxe bound edition, but cannot say with absolute certainty. A lovely copy with just a bit of rubbing to spine ends and corners, very slight discolouration to extreme inner edges of boards, pages toned and inner margins slightly browned, very slightly musty. Still a tight, bright VG+ copy. (no dust jacket - issued). Item #60791
