The Equinox of the Gods.

Scottsdale, AZ: New Falcon Publications, 1991. Limited Edition Facsimile. Hardcover. Octavo. (9 x 6.25 inches). [xii]. 137pp [67pp]. Half (faux?) leather with marbled paper boards & matching marbled endpapers, gilt titling to spine. Editorial note, b&w frontis, colour plates of the Stele of Revealing. The words "Collector's Limited Edition" are lettered down the spine between the title and the publisher's name, but no indication of the size of the print run is usually given. However, most unusually this copy has "149 / 150" (suggesting that it is copy 149 of and edition of 150) hand written and initialled by Christopher S. Hyatt, president of New Falcon Publications, on the half-title page. It is additionally inscribed by Hyatt on the same page "To Roy / 93 / [to the right] 12/21/96 ev / from / Falcon / 93 93/93 / [signed] C. S. Hyatt." Dr. Christopher S. Hyatt (1943 – 2008), was a student of Israel Regardie's, an author, occultist, author, and - as noted - president of New Falcon Publications. The book itself is a corrected "facsimile edition" of Crowley's first major published study of the origins of "The Book of the Law," with a facsimile of the manuscript reproduced at the rear (unlike the original edition this is bound in, rather than in a separate folder). This edition includes the short but interesting Foreword by Hymenaeus Beta that also appeared in the 93 Publishing version published the same year. Merest hint of shelf-wear, a little darkening to page edges, but overall a tight, clean near-Fine copy (no dust jacket issued). A scarce association copy in lovely condition. Item #61176
