Item #61807 Magick Without Tears. Aleister CROWLEY, Israel Regardie.

Magick Without Tears.

St. Paul, MN: Llewellyn Publications, 1973. First Edition Thus. Hardcover. Large Octavo. xxxvi+ 522 pp. Original blue cloth with gilt title, etc. to spine, 4 full-page illustrations. Crowley had originally intended to entitle this book 'Aleister Explains Everything' - it is in essence his personal commentary on his own magical work and training - in the form of 80 letters addressed to students. It is without doubt one of his most straightforward, and lucid expositions of Magick. It was first published by Crowley's follower, Karl Germer, in an edition that almost certainly did not exceed 100 copies. This new edition includes Germer's original foreword, and a new Introduction by Israel Regardie, who also edited the text, removing some material he felt to be redundant. Very light rubbing to edges, light bruising to spine ends, page edges a bit darkened, pages toned. Else a tight, bright VG+ copy in VG+ dust jacket. (Dust jacket lightly rubbed at extremities, chafed at spine ends and corners, not clipped but price inked out). Unusually nice condition for a work that is often rather shabby. Item #61807
