The second edition of the first volume of "The Function of the Orgasm," which was reissued to accompany the first publication of "The Cancer Biopathy" in 1948 (the two volumes jointly formed "The Discovery of the Orgone.") The work was banned from circulation by U.S. Federal Court Order in 1954 and burned under FDA supervision in 1956 and 1960. Very light bumps and rubbing to spine ends and corners, page edges and endpapers unevenly darkened, pages toned, unmarked. Overall a tight, clean VG+ copy in VG dust jacket (Dust jacket a bit darkened at edges, spine and folds.
