The best edition of one of the most significant of the works of Wilhelm Reich (1897-1957) Austrian-born psychoanalyst and author, who was known for his unorthodox sex and energy theories; and who died in a Federal Penitentiary, where he was serving a two-year prison term for distributing his invention, the "orgone energy accumulator". "Character Analysis" was first published in book form in 1933, this third edition was heavily revised, and the first edition to incorporate his thoughts on orgone energy. Very light shelf rubbing to boards and edges, page edges darkened, text pages a bit toned but bright, and unmarked. Overall a tight, clean VG+ copy in VG dust jacket. (Dust jacket is a bit darkened and rubbed overall, all edges a little chafed with some light chipping, price clipped, now protected by a removeable mylar sleeve). Item #63475
