Small quarto. 66pp + iipp. Original maroon cloth with gilt titling and borders to upper board, b&w illustrations & fold-out diagram, list of works used at rear. The 'Sepher Yetzirah' is a significant Kabbalistic treatise, that is thought to have been written between the 3rd and 6th centuries CE. It was first printed in Latin in 1552, and in English in 1877. Stenring's translation was heavily revised by and corrected by Waite, who also wrote the Introduction. Cloth faded near upper spine on top board, cloth to rear board unevenly and very faintly mottled (appears to be offset from dust jacket), corners & spine ends lightly bumped and chafed, a little light chafing to lower edges, page edges darkened, endpapers unevenly browned, pages toned, text clean and unmarked. Overall a tight, clean VG copy in Fair but largely complete example of scarce dust jacket. (Dust jacket well rubbed and darkened & discoloured overall, all edges chafed, some loss to spine ends and corners, olds tidy tape repairs to spine and upper edge on reverse side, not clipped. Dust jacket is now protected by a removable mylar sleeve). Item #64029
