Consecutively paginated: 308pp. Attractively bound in contemporary half leather over marbled papered boards, gilt titling and rules to spine, speckled page edges, index at rear. The first volume (comprising twelve consecutive issues) of this unusual and important periodical which ran from 1866 - 1918. It was largely devoted to homeopathy, but also included material on surgery, and what would now be termed allopathic (conventional) and homeopathic medicine. This volume comprises: Volume I, No. 1. January 15, 1866; Volume I, No. 2. February 15, 1866; Volume I, No. 3. March 15, 1866; Volume I, No. 4. April 15, 1866; Volume I, No. 5. May 15, 1866; Volume I, No. 6. June 15, 1866; Volume I, No. 7. July 15, 1866; Volume I, No. 8. August 15, 1866; Volume I, No. 9. September 15, 1866; Volume I, No. 10. October 15, 1866; Volume I, No. 11. November 15, 1866; Volume I, No. 12. December 15, 1866. Boards a bit rubbed overall, all edges extremities and points are a bit chafed - spine and corners a bit heavier, pages lightly toned with a bit of scattered browning and with a light vertical crease - but fresh and unmarked and quite possibly unread. Overall a tight, internally bright VG copy of this very scarce journal. Item #64206
