First published in 1896 as Volume VIII in the Collectanea Hermetica series, edited by W. Wynn Westcott, one of the founders of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn. It was originally published under the initials 'S. S. D. D.' - which stood for 'Sapientia Sapienti Dona Data', the magical motto of Florence Farr. Rather basic production values.
