The first edition of this work written by Dion Fortune to address many of the issues and problems that people had raised in letters to the Fraternity of the Inner Light on topics such as karma, remembering past incarnations, divination, the use and abuse of mind power etc. From the collection of Clive Harper with his discrete book-label neatly tipped in at the rear. Harper is well-known as the bibliographer of Austin Osman Spare, for updating the Aleister Crowley bibliography in the 2011 Teitan Press collection of Gerald Yorke's writings, and as someone who has lent his expertise to numerous other publications. Cloth lightly faded at edges of boards, spine is a little darkened, spine ends & corners lightly bruised and chafed, endpapers unevenly browned with a small pale tide mark at the upper edge of each of the pastedowns, very light foxing to first few leaves, pages lightly toned, otherwise unmarked. Overall a tight, clean VG+ copy in VG+ dust jacket (Dust jacket spine rubbed and a bit faded, a little light chafing to the edges, not clipped. Now protected by removable mylar cover.)
