This is the third volume of the series of the series that began with the "Tibetan Book of the Dead", followed bhy "Tibet's Great Yogi Milarepa" (each volume complete in itself, although all volumes are also intimitely related). This volume comprises seven closely related but independent texts, with commentaries, reveal the yoga teachings of the Tibetan spiritual tradition, and its Indic roots. The editor, Walter Yeeling Evans-Wentz (1878 – 1965) was an American anthropologist who was a pioneer in the study of Tibetan Buddhism, and was perhaps best known for his English translation of "The Tibetan Book of the Dead" first published in 1927. NOTE: the book itself is a first edition but the dust jacket is from a second edition. A bit of light rubbing to cloth, a few light bumps to edges, corners and spine ends lightly bruised, page edges a bit darkened, contemporary bookshop sticker on front pastedown, owner's name etc in pen on front blank, pages toned but bright and unmarked. Overall a tight and clean VG + copy in VG dust jacket (Second edition dust jacket is a bit darkened at spine, light chafing and creasing to all edges, not clipped, a short closed tear at mid-spine.
