The author, Tallapragada Subba Row (1856-1890) was a Hindu Theosophist, professor of the Occult at Madras University and much admired by H. P. Blavatsky. The volume includes essays on Theosophy, the zodiac, the Theosophic septenary, the chakras and other related topics. The volume's rather cheap production values are typical of older Indian publications, some ordinary shelf wear, spine faded & bruised and chafed at ends, covers a bit rubbed and darkened, page edges darkened, no markings.
