An attractive reprint edition of Mead's translation of this important third century (CE) Gnostic text. Mead was a Cambridge-educated classicist and long term member of the Theosophical Society, famous for his translations and studies of Gnosticism and early Hermetic texts. Light overall rubbing to cloth. Spine ends, edges and corners bumped and a bit rubbed. Endpapers unevenly browned, pages toned with just a few light scattered pencil marks to text (easily erased), pencil notation to rear blank. Overall a tight near-VG copy (no dust jacket).
